Worried about someone?

If you’re concerned about the safety or wellbeing of a learner, colleague or anyone connected with our work, please tell us. You don’t need to be certain, and you don’t need proof. Report it the same day using our Safeguarding and Prevent concern form. Your report will be handled confidentially, and a member of our safeguarding team will call you to follow up. Remember If someone is in immediate danger, call 999 first.

Safeguarding Concern Report

Safeguarding at
Higher Health UK

At Higher Health UK, everyone has the right to learn and work in a safe, respectful and supportive environment. Safeguarding is everyone’s responsibility. It covers our learners, staff, mentors, volunteers, partners and everyone else connected with our work. We want every person who takes part in our programmes to have a positive, enjoyable experience and to feel safe while they do.

Many of our learners are young people, and some may be more vulnerable to harm, exploitation or being drawn into extremism. We take this seriously. Our trained Designated Safeguarding Lead and Deputy oversee all safeguarding and Prevent concerns. Everyone who works with our learners receives safeguarding and Prevent training. We work closely with host colleges, schools, local authorities and other partners so that concerns are shared with the right people and dealt with quickly.

We aim to build resilience, wellbeing and critical thinking in a space where difficult issues can be discussed openly and respectfully. We promote mutual respect and tolerance, and we will challenge discrimination and hateful views wherever they arise. We respect freedom of expression and do not stereotype any community, faith or group.
