Dr (Prof) R Ahluwalia

Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Higher Health:
United Kingdom (UK) & South Africa (SA)

Higher Health is led by Dr (Prof) Ramneek Ahluwalia, CEO of both the UK and South African organisations. A medical doctor by training, Prof Ahluwalia has spent his career at the intersection of public health, education, and youth empowerment.

He currently serves as a Visiting Professor at the University of Johannesburg and as an Adjunct Faculty Fellow at the Dahdaleh Institute for Global Health Research, York University, Canada. In 2024, he was elected as a member of the UNESCO Global Liaison Committee, reflecting his long-standing commitment to advancing the UN Sustainable Development Goals through integrated work in science, health and education.

His leadership continues to shape the growth of Higher Health as an organisation committed to equality, education, access and youth opportunity in both the Global South and Global North.
